FINE ART CLASSES

Children (Age 6 - 12)

Children may follow a Progressive Development Program where they will make up to three works in each medium before they advance.  Students begin with a preliminary drawing where they learn how to draw without the crutch of grids or tracing. Mediums include pastel, watercolor pencil crayon, watercolor, acrylic and clay. Options include pencil, charcoal, pen and ink, India ink,  oil pastel, oil (water miscible), collage, monoprints,  mixed media and porcelain painting.

Class:  1 hour per week

FINE ART CLASSES

Teens and Adults may choose a Medium of their Choice or follow a Progressive Development Program beginning with pencil, then charcoal, soft pastel, watercolor, acrylic and oil.  Options include pen and ink, colored pencil, collage, mixed media, gouache, monoprints, lino-cuts, and clay.

Teens (Age 12 - 17)

Class:  1.5  hours per week

Times:  Effective Sept. 2011

Mon             7:00 - 8:30 pm

Tue              7:00 - 8:30 pm

Wed     7:00 - 8:30 pm

or Sat      12:00 - 1:30 pm

Cost: $110 + GST = $115.50 / month

       ADULTS (Age 18 and up)

Class: 2 hours per week

The classes are structured for the individual where the instructor works one on one with each student emphasizing technique.  Classes are small with up to 8 students per class.

   CARTOONING CLASSES

Syndicated cartoonist, Gerry Rasmussen,ssco-creator of "Bub Slug" and "Betty" cartoons will be teaching cartooning techniques to improve drawing skills and to help you to develop and create your own characters.

Course: March 1 - June 21 (no classes March 29)

Age:  6 - 11

Time: Thurs / 6:00 - 7:00 pm

Age: 12 - 18

Time: Thurs / 7:00 - 8:00 pm

Cost: $360 + GST = $378.00 / course
